Celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary with a wonderful steak dinner. Sarah and Dennis provided us with a wonderful dining experience and an evening we will long remember!
This place is crazy expensive and the food is fine. The people were really nice and helpful. I'm sure it's a fun place if you enjoy drinking alcohol. For the price of the food you'd hope to leave feeling full but that's not the case. The $15 sides are enough for 1-2 people and I wasn't impressed by the brussel sprouts. While I enjoyed my meal, I'd rather go somewhere more affordable and not have to sit outside along the street where people are super loud and smoking all night.
First time coming her and loved it! Our waiter, Frenchie, was very accommodating and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place and the food was amazing!
Great service from Frenchie, my dry aged Ribeye was cooked to perfection, cocktail and beer list was really great too! The atmosphere is fun and modern but also feels very classic!
First espresso martini. It was amazing. Not too sweet. Steak was perfectly cooked and our server Frenchie was pleasant and attentive.
Amazing dining experience! Wednesday night, very busy, but still felt like a priority and had no wait! Our waiter Joe was very polite and helpful. Recommend any steak and cannot go wrong with the sides!
Thank you Tom for being the bestt π«ΆπΌ
Service was absolutely wonderful, attentive, and oh so gracious and kind. And our appetizers and sides were very good. However our $149 porterhouse steak (for two people) was a HUGE disappointment. It was one of the worst steaks I've ever had at a good restaurant, and certainly the worst steak I ever had priced over $50, (not to mention $149).
I am a veteran of many, many high-end steakhouses, and I would not have minded at all if my steak was something less than the other places I've been to, even if by a good bit. I did not need it to be top tier, I just needed it to be decent, but this was terrible.
I ordered medium-rare, and it came out medium. Okay no problem - I didn't bother mentioning it to the waiter. A good or superior cut of meat can still be very good at medium. But this was just so terribly dry and devoid of any moisture or taste that we couldn't believe it. It tasted like it had been cooked well-done 2x over. My wife and I were incredulous. I never saw a steak that looked medium but tasted well done twice over.
It seems to me that either it was a really inferior cut of meat, or perhaps more likely, something went wrong in the dry-aging process. I understand that mistakes can happen when preparing food, but it shouldn't when you're paying top dollar at a place that bills itself as a "prime steakhouse."
I feel badly leaving any negative comments, as I really liked the place and all of the people working there. And had we ordered something else as a main course everything may have been great. But I would also feel badly if I didn't warn people about what may happen when they order such an expensive dish here. Perhaps Greystone can use this as an opportunity to figure out what went wrong.
